The meeting time has been moved later to allow more residents to attend
Castletown Commissioners will now be recording all its meetings, alongside written minutes, for the next few years.
Vice-chair John Cringle says it will make the local authority more 'transparent' and will allow board members and residents to look at 'verbatim' reports.
The commissioners will also be moving its meetings back to 7pm on a Monday, which he says will allow more people to attend.
Mr Cringle says there will be a 'minimal cost' of about £1,000 for the recording technology.
