Environmentalist comes forward as Lib Vann candidate
Another candidate has come forward for the Douglas East by-election.
Cat Turner, an environmental and social justice campaigner and local charity co-ordinator, will stand as a candidate for Lib Vann.
She says the Island, and Douglas at its heart, has immense potential to lead the way in adopting clean, environmentally and socially friendly, innovative ways of doing things.
She feels this would create meaningful jobs and opportunities, adding real value to Manx society and to the wider world.
She also says she wants people who live and work in Douglas to have a safe, secure and enjoyable place to be - with accessible and affordable amenities which can be appreciated by locals and visitors alike.
