Police investigating incident
Fire services say the cause of a blaze at an empty property in Douglas last night is "suspicious".
Firefighters spent around four hours at the incident behind the National Sports Centre.
The call came around 7.15pm after reports of smoke coming from a building at Millmount.
Crews were met with what's described as a well-established fire in the empty house, but were unable to enter the building due to its poor condition.
They used hoses from an aerial platform to tackle the blaze, and remained at the scene after the flames were extinguished to check for hot spots.
Police are working with the fire service to establish the cause.
