Too early to say what cause was
An investigation into what caused a fire at the disused Marine Biological Station in Port Erin yesterday has begun.
Fire crews from the south of the Island and Douglas were called to the blaze in the early afternoon.
Roads and a coastal footpath above the building were closed, with the Fire Service saying the area remains cordoned off for public safety.
Paul Moulton from MTTV spoke to the senior officer at the incident Carl Kinvig about the extent of the damage once the fire had been brought under control:-
