The chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners – currently leading the fight against the closure of the town’s crown post office – says he’s stepping down from the top job.
Captain Nigel Malpass says he won’t be standing for a sixth term in the lead role on the board for the coming year.
He says his five years as chairman have been hugely rewarding, but it’s now time for someone else to take over at the helm.
Nominations for chairman of Ramsey commissioners will be put forward at the board’s Annual General Meeting on Friday, May 1.
