12-sided UK coins take over
The Isle of Man is still using defunct UK 'round pound' coins, but it isn't alone in doing so.
Shops and businesses across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland stopped accepting the tokens - which were first introduced in 1983 - on 15 October last year.
In the Island, they will still be accepted until 28 February.
New Manx-issued 'round pounds' will be circulated beyond that date, as well as current 12-sided UK coins.
But it's being reported a number of major retailers such as Iceland and Tesco are accepting the old currency at branches across Britain.
It's thought almost half a billion of them are still in circlation.
