Spring typically sees a rise in calls about juvenile animals
A local animal charity has issued advice on what to do if you find young birds in distress.
The ManxSPCA says spring is typically the time of year it starts to receive calls from concerned residents about juvenile animals.
The charity advises anyone who comes across a potentially injured bird to spend some time observing it first to see if they truly need help before interfering.
Any injured mammal or bird should be taken directly to a veterinary practice for treatment, and if you're unsure if an animal needs help you can contact the ManxSPCA for advice on 851 672.
