Corporation says strict process is followed
A Manx homeless charity says more needs to be considered in the eviction process, to protect the vulnerable.
Michael Manning from Graih has made the comments, following an article in the Graih Gazette.
It details the circumstances surrounding a local man who was evicted for outstanding rent arrears but was also considered to be extremely vulnerable.
He says sensitive cases should be treated as such by the relevant authorities.
But Claire Wells from Douglas Corporation says they give every person lots of consideration but have a strict process to follow.
