Weekend clinics 'prompt and positive' response
A local charity has praised efforts to reduce backlog in the Isle of Man’s Breast Service.
Over the weekend the Department of Health and Social Care operated additional clinics – it follows a significant increase in the number of people requiring symptomatic appointments.
A combination of issues, including the Covid-19 pandemic, has meant the two week target, between initial referral and being seen, has slipped.
Julie Stokes is the chairman of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group. She says it’s a ‘prompt and positive’ response:
Island warned to expect heavy rain this afternoon
Jurby landowner working with planning and Bus Vannin on future shelter provision
'We wouldn’t have it any other way’
Ramsey Tesco to 'open as normal' following incident
