55-year-old died on first day of holiday to the Island
An inquest has determined the death of a Cheshire man, who crashed his motorbike on the TT Course on the first day of his holiday, was an accident.
Fifty-five year old Barry Whittingham was riding on the Mountain Road, on 30 July, when he veered off the road and hit a wall at Windy Corner.
The groundsman from Middlewich died from his injuries later that day at Noble's Hospital - a post mortem suggested he suffered a cardiac arrhythmia.
According to BBC Isle of Man the Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes found he lost consciousness before the crash.
She gave a verdict of accidental death and passed on her condolences to Mr Whittingham's friends and family.
