
Chief Minister Allan Bell has dared Liberal Vannin Party leader Peter Karran to challenge him for leadership of the government.
This morning, the House of Keys saw fierce exchanges between the two as MHKs debated the government’s £4.5 million bailout of the Sefton Group.
Mr Karran claimed the deal had only been struck because of the company’s political links.
And that claim produced an angry response from the chief minister, who dared him to call for a vote of no confidence:
