New appointment expected next week
Chief Minister Howard Quayle says he "understands" Kate Beecroft's decision to stand down as Health Minister.
Her resignation was announced yesterday afternoon (Wed) following an earlier meeting with Mr Quayle in which there was what's been described as a "full and frank" conversation about the department.
This included discussion over the resignation of two department members - Rob Callister and Claire Bettison - last year.
Mr Quayle claims a new Minister will be appointed next week, and has thanked Mrs Beecroft for her work, but wouldn't be drawn on exactly why Mrs Beecroft decided to go
