
It's likely the Summerland site will see some form of residential development.
That's the belief of Chief Minister Allan Bell who was speaking after an announcement last week that a preferred developer had been agreed to redevelop the site, which has been an eyesore for many years since the old leisure complex was demolished.
Mr Bell says whilst many suggestions have been put forward over the years, in the current economic climate it may be difficult to get the range of options that people may prefer.
And he admits it could still be many months before any work may be seen at the site
