Boris Johnson follows in footsteps of Jim Hacker?
The Chief Minister has compared kippergate to a storyline in a classic British comedy.
Tory leadership contender Boris Johnson made headlines this week when he waved a Manx kipper at a hustings event, claiming EU rules forced suppliers to include ice pillows when sending produce through the mail.
It's since been clarified that the UK's Food Standards Agency imposes the rule, not the EU.
Howard Quayle said the situation reminded him of Yes Minister:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
