The warning was issued after a dog died in a cliff fall near Peel Hill
Peel Coastguard is reminding dog owners to keep pets on a lead near cliffs following an incident yesterday afternoon (28 December).
A dog fell from a cliff behind Peel Hill and, despite efforts to recover it, was found to have died.
The Coastguard team descended to the base of the cliff to retrieve the dog and returned it to its family, offering their condolences.
Officials also urged the public not to attempt rescues themselves and to contact emergency services in such situations.
