The future of public service broadcasting in the Isle of Man is to be assessed by a Tynwald select committee.
It will examine the cost, scope, policy and delivery of services before making recommendations.
Speaker of the House of Keys, Steve Rodan, had originally tabled a motion asking the court to reaffirm its commitment to Manx Radio' as the national broadcaster over the next three years.
However, an amendment from Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen to assess public service broadcasting in detail was instead supported.
The committee will comprise Mr Rodan, Castletown MHK Richard Ronan and Onchan member Zac Hall.
