Number of jurors to be reviewed
A Select Committee is to be formed to assess the state of the Island's jury system.
Tynwald approved the investigation earlier this week after a motion was put forward by East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw.
It's main aim will be to review the number of jurors in a standard court case - it was temporarily reduced from twelve to seven members during World War II, and has never reverted back to the larger number, except for murder and manslaughter trials.
Mr. Robertshaw will be joined by Peter Karran and Bill Malarkey in leading the Committee.
