But could idea be thwarted by potential for new sewerage site?
A decision's been made to try and save a 189-year-old church from becoming a ruin.
It follows a public meeting – attended by around 60 people – which focussed on the fate of All Saints in Lonan.
The site is home to the Archibald Knox war memorials which recognise the men, from Laxey and Lonan, who fought in previous conflicts.
But Stewart Clague, who is a member of the Saints Centre charity, told Manx Radio concerns have been raised that Manx Utilities may be considering putting a sewage pumping site nearby:
In its latest update Manx Utilities says it has arranged a meeting with the Clerks of Garff Commissioners pending a potential announcement on a preferred site next week.
