During a heated Q&A session, a teacher and a retired healthcare worker both voiced their disillusionment that ongoing changes to terms and conditions were leaving more and more people in what Mr Thomas coined ‘pensions poverty’.
Representatives of the private sector were equally concerned, though, that one-‘half’ of the working population has “been forgotten” under the current administration.
The minister admits those concerns are fair:
