Look out for the Manx Whippy van in Laxey tonight
A disagreement over ice creams in Laxey appears to have thawed.
Garff Commissioners last month denied whippy van proprietor Darren Whyman a street trader's licence, on what they cited as health and safety grounds.
The decision prompted some outcry among local residents.
But the board has today confirmed it's approved a licence, after 'amicable' discussions with Mr Whyman.
The Manx Whippy van will be appearing around the area this afternoon (Mon), stopping at Ard Reayrt at 3.45pm, Church Road at 4.45pm and Baldrine Park at 6.30pm.
