Plans hope to curb coastal overtopping
Construction continues on the new 1.2 metre reinforced concrete sea wall in Douglas.
But the project has long drawn criticism from some, with questions around why other measures couldn't be taken: such as removing a build-up of sand and stones on the beach.
Others have critiqued the structure itself, saying it will take away from the view across the bay.
