More than £900,000 spent in total
An independent review which was conducted into the health and social care system cost the Manx taxpayer more than £900,000.
The figure was revealed in the response to a Tynwald question for written answer tabled by Douglas South MHK Kate Costain.
A breakdown of the cost of Sir Jonathan Michael's review was provided by Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford.
It shows that between March 2018 (when he was appointed) and May 2019 (when his final report went before Tynwald) almost £762,000 was spent on external consultancy, more than £143,000 on staffing and other costs and £784 on catering.
