Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston has raised the idea with executives from the company
We could see the introduction of Tesco banking services on the Island in the future.
That's according to the chief minister who was quizzed on Tesco's takeover of Shoprite in Tynwald this morning.
Alfred Cannan confirmed government has been in detailed discussions with the retailer since the move was announced, and that a meeting took place with senior Tesco representatives before the sitting today.
He revealed Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston has raised the idea with executives from the company:
