Raina Chatel first woman to win award
A Douglas councillor who served for over three decades has been given an Honorary Freedom of the Borough - the first woman ever to be conferred with the title.
Raina Chatel joined the Council in 1985, and worked alongside her husband George for many years.
He was also made a Freeman in 2007.
The award puts Mrs. Chatel in the same ranks as Sir Winston Churchill, Norman Wisdom and just 31 others who've received the accolade since 1924.
