Unique project to offset gold mine impact
A local husband and wife team are playing a key role in the development of a national park the size of the Isle of Man.
Former head of Bio-diversity on the Island, Liz Charter, and naturalist and Manx Birdlife course leader Tim Earl are carrying out habitat surveys of the area in Armenia.
The massive site is being designated as a national park as part of the compensation for a gold mining project in the Eurasian country, which will have a massive environmental impact.
They started work there in 2015 and have been back again for five weeks this year.
