135 cautions issued for Class B drug offences
Police won't turn a blind eye to cannabis related crimes, but sending offenders to court isn't always the right step.
That's according the Isle of Man Constabulary's media spokesperson, Inspector Gavin Callow.
One of the most common drugs on the Island, a recent freedom of information request revealed 135 cautions were issued by police for cannabis-related offences since 2014.
Formal notices were also issued in small numbers for possession of class A drugs like LSD, amphetamines, MDMA, and, in one instance, heroin.
