Special talk on what happen when we 'kick the bucket'
A talk this morning will shed new light on the subject of what happens when we 'kick the bucket'.
Visiting Professor Hilary Grainger will discuss the history and development of cremation in Britain, in a lecture entitled Crematoria to Die For.
It's been organised by the Isle of Man Victorian Society to commemorate the re-opening of Douglas Borough Crematorium in 2016.
Professor Grainger explains her attraction to the maudlin topic.
The talk takes place at 11am in the Manx Museum Lecture Theatre. All are welcome, and admission is free.
