Police deal with hoax bomb threat at Castle Rushen High School
Police have confirmed they dealt with a hoax bomb threat at Castle Rushen High School today (23 November).
Officers say someone telephoned the secondary school at around 4pm claiming there was an explosive on the premises.
A 'very small' number of pupils, and staff, had to be evacuated and were taken to a safe location.
In a statement the Isle of Man Constabulary says it has now identified the person responsible and the individual, who is local to the Island, will be 'dealt with appropriately'.
Police say as it's an ongoing investigation they can't comment further at this stage.
Castle Rushen High School will be open as normal tomorrow.
