Keith Watterson has volunteered for various organisations in the village
A longstanding volunteer in Onchan has been awarded the Crosh Pobble Chonnaghyn for his 'unpaid services' to the community.
Keith Watterson was given the prize for his years of work for various organisations in the village including Live at Home, Abbeylands Chapel, Friends of Onchan's Heritage as well as serving as a commissioner.
The Onchan Community Cross is presented every two years to a resident of the district who has added to the quality of life and recognises those who do 'publicly spirited work' for the community.
Mr Watterson will receive the award at a civic service in April.
