Contractors still in the area, though
A road in the west of the Island which has had major refurbishment work done on it has reopened.
The section of Curragh Road between the turn-off to the Western Civic Amenity Site and Ballacraine traffic lights has been shut since last year.
The project had originally been due to finish in mid-January: that was then pushed back to the end of February, and then the end of April, that time because ground conditions in some parts were found to be worse than anticipated.
The coronavirus lockdown then delayed things further.
The road was reopened yesterday evening.
Contractors are still in the area, though, finishing up some aspects of the work and also starting on a project to replace the traffic lights at Ballacraine.
