It will shut for Tesco rebrand on 6 April
The Tesco rebrand of Shoprite continues, with a date announced for the closure of the smaller store in Peel.
The Michael Street Shoprite will shut for refurbishment at 9pm on Saturday 6 April.
It will reopen as a Tesco Express on a date yet to be confirmed, although Manx Radio has been told all Express stores will be open before TT.
The sale of all Shoprite stores to Tesco was announced in October last year.
Meanwhile the new Tesco store in Douglas is set to open on Wednesday 27 March.
Replacing Shoprite on Victoria Road, it'll be the new flagship store on the Island for the supermarket giant.
It'll be the only one here to sell Tesco's clothing brand, and will also have a café and a designated Changing Places toilet enabling those with additional needs to be changed by their carers.
