Douglas has a new Mayor.
Councillor Debra Pitts will hold the position for twelve months, succeeding former figurehead John Skinner.
She was inaugurated in a ceremony at the capital's Town Hall earlier today.
The daughter of two former mayors, Dorothy and Stephen Pitts, Ms Pitts is from a proud civic lineage.
The children's nurse says she's 'very proud' to have been elected to the role - adding she hopes to put her own unique stamp on it for the year ahead:
