New facility in Liverpool and at Ronaldsway
Island patients travelling to the UK for hospital appointments will in future be able to wait for flights in a dedicated area, at Ronaldsway and in Liverpool.
The new facilities have been secured by the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, and will be available to all transfer patients.
In the Island, a quiet space land-side has been reserved next to the fast track area used by Patient Transfer, while at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, a quiet room air-side has been secured with help from Flybe.
The charity says it 'lobied hard' for new facilities, to offer patients privacy, and to ensure they are not left standing at crowded departure gates at busy times.
The group says it will furnish the rooms to ensure they are comnfortable and welcoming.
