Geoffrey Boot insists department left with little choice
The environment minister has defended the department's decision to put a 40% reduction on queenie fishing.
Today marks the start of the season, with the announcement to excavate fewer of the Manx delicacies made a week ago.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture's move has been met with surprise from local fishermen.
