Some students calling for shorter courses
The higher education system is changing in many ways, according to a senior figure at University College Isle of Man.
There have been numerous reports over recent weeks about students becoming frustrated at the length of time it takes to earn a degree.
Some are demanding universities introduce new-look two-year courses.
Standard courses for undergraduate degrees are three-years long and UCM doesn't offer any courses shorter than that, due to its links with the University of Chester.
Higher Education Manager at UCM Gail Corrin believes there is a need to review the current format.
She says there are several areas that could be up for change - including how institutions and businesses work together.
And Ms Corrin is not surprised at frustration shown by students:
