The Department of Home Affairs is being accused of mistreating prisoners at Isle of Man Prison.
A number of claimants have started civil legal action against the department after being detained on the Isolation Wing in April last year.
They allege various breaches of the European Convention on Human Rights, including the right not to be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment, the right to respect for private and family life, home and correspondence, as well as a breach of duty of care.
The Department denies all of the alleged breaches.
A further Case Management hearing has been listed for June next year.
