Six weeks until the Island goes to the polls
The House of Keys has been officially dissolved and the Island no longer has any MHKs.
It’s now six weeks until the General Election.
On Thursday 24 September 24 people will be elected to the House of Keys.
President of Tynwald Juan Watterson says despite the dissolution government ministers will still keep their titles until the new administration is formed:
An election notice will be published on 18 August.
Anyone wanting to stand to be an MHK in the General Election has until 1pm on 26 August to deliver their nomination papers and declaration of interests' form.
Anyone wanting to register for a postal vote has until 18 September.
