Phases Four and Five near completion as seating and layout improvements continue
Work on the departure lounge at Isle of Man Airport is progressing, with Phases Four and Five of the refurbishment now approaching completion.
Recent developments include new carpets and redecoration near Gates Four and Five, along with the installation of 190 new seats in the rear waiting area and a further 92 in the downstairs holding lounge.
The seating and layout choices were guided by feedback from passengers, input from the Frequent Passenger Group and Accessibility Group, and a review of seating used in other airports.
The new designs aim to enhance comfort, accessibility, and functionality, with features such as wider seating, modular layouts, and a variety of zones including high-top work tables, standard seating with flight information visibility, and dining-style areas near food outlets.
