Architects say project is going 'quite well'
Construction work on a multi-million-pound project to redevelop the Middlemarch site in Douglas could begin by the end of this year.
That’s from Darlington based architect practice ADG which is overseeing the transformation opposite the Lord Street bus station area.
Plans for a three-storey leisure complex, and 250-space car park, were submitted by Island based company Altostratus Ltd at the end of last year and are currently under consideration.
If the plans are approved the Best Western Palace Hotel will occupy two storeys of the building and transfer its casino operation from its present site on Central Promenade
