Education minister wrongly named as director of business which received covid support
The Department for Enterprise has apologised to Education Minister, and Onchan MHK, Julie Edge after it incorrectly named her as the director of a business which received taxpayer backed Covid support.
It follows a recent Freedom of Information response regarding payments made to current and former MHKs.
Onchan Park Café Limited received almost £7,000 in financial support during the pandemic however Ms Edge had no dealings with the business at the time the claim was submitted.
The DfE has apologised to Minister Edge and says it is working with her, and the Information Commissioner, in relation to this matter.
The Freedom of Information request has been removed and an amended version will be published at a later date.
