Chief Minister says he asked Mark Lewin to return full-time
The Chief Executive of the Department for Enterprise, Mark Lewin, is to remain in post, government has confirmed.
Chief Minister and current Enterprise Minister, Alf Cannan, says he has asked Mr Lewin to return to the department full-time 'in order to provide stability and to support the Economic Strategy'.
Meanwhile, Mr Lewin says he is happy to focus again on the 'hugely important and diverse work' of DfE 'especially at such a critical time'.
The previous Enterprise Minister, Dr Alex Allinson, has now taken up the role of Treasury Minister following the resignation of David Ashford.
Last week, DfE's Deputy Chief Executive, Carl Hawker, announced he would be leaving his position.
