Supplementary vote would approve sum being taken from General Reserve
The treasury minister will ask Tynwald to approve an additional £20 million of funding for her department.
Alex Allinson* will bring a supplementary vote to Tynwald this month, asking the court to authorise Treasury to release the funds from the General Reserve.
The motion says the funds are required by DHSC because its forecast expenditure exceeds its budget previously approved by Tynwald.
It was recently confirmed that Treasury had agreed to give extra funds to Manx Care to allow it to reinstate on-Island elective surgery.
*An earlier version of the Tynwald motion stated it would be moved by Health Minister Claire Christian.
