DHSC Minister backs bid for early diagnosis
The Health and Social Care Minister believes 'prevention is better than cure' when it comes to diabetes.
David Ashford has given his backing to a backbench Tynwald motion, calling for routine screening for the condition to be introduced.
Mr Ashford praised the wording of the item, for not tying his department to a formal programme.
He says awareness of the condition is down to education:
