
More than 100 digital currency specialists are due to gather in Douglas next week for an Isle of Man summit on the emerging market.
The Crypto Valley Summit (17 & 18 Sept) will bring together off-Island entrepreneurs, local companies and the Manx government's e-business development unit.
Organisers will use the event to present the Isle of Man as a supportive and well-regulated home for above-board digital currency businesses.
The commercial viability of crypto currencies, how the Island's financial services sector can meet the industry's needs and the case for regulation are among topics on the agenda.
More than 30 speakers have been lined up for the forum which takes place on Wednesday at the Palace Hotel and on Thursday at the Sefton.
The opening address will be given by Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood.
