Special rate to start in 2020
It's been confirmed that serving armed forces personnel will be eligible for discounted rates on the Isle of Man Steam Packet, according to an MHK.
Juan Watterson, who is also government's Armed Forces Champion, revealed in a post on social media that the organisation will introduce a special rate for 2020 in line with the current 'student offer'.
That means serving members of the British military, with appropriate ID, will be able to purchase fully flexible tickets for less than £20 with no weekend supplements.
Mr Watterson said: "no discount for veterans sadly, but a positive move nonetheless."
