 
                            Lasius Platythorax was found at Billown Nature Reserve
It's hoped the discovery of a new species of ant on the Island will help to reveal more about how insects live together here.
The Lasius Platythorax (pron: LASS-EE-US PLAT-EE-THOR-AXE) was found at the Billown Nature Reserve and has been verified as a new species with no previous record on the Isle of Man.
But it was also found to have a symbiotic partnership with another insect - a woodlouse.
