Electric vehicles included in proposals for first time
The infrastructure minister has told Manx Radio he hopes a 10 per cent increase in road tax won't cause people 'hardship'.
Under new plans most vehicle categories will see increases and, for the first time, electric vehicle owners will also be required to contribute.
The proposals are subject to Tynwald approval and will go before the court in March.
In 2021 there were nearly 400 people caught with expired road tax.
