Warning after fire at a property in Andreas
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has issued a reminder about the importance of leaving a property as soon as possible if there's a fire incident.
It follows a call out to Andreas late last night where crews from Ramsey found a property filled with smoke caused by something left in a microwave igniting.
Officers wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and rescued the single occupant who was checked over by the Ambulance Service.
The Fire Service says while working smoke detectors are very important, it is equally important to leave your property at the earliest opportunity if there's an and dial 999.They say microwaves are replaceable, your live isn’t.
