One local says the promotion "is a con"
Black Friday hit Douglas today - as retailers across the British Isles expect to take a cut of an expected £2 billion spend by customers on the high streets.
In our capital, shops are marking the promotional day in their own way with discounts displayed in shop windows to entice passers-by with promises of providing a budget-friendly Christmas.
There was a mixed-reaction from shoppers, though.
