Marie Birtles has a varied career history in business, finance and health
A Douglas Borough Council worker has put themselves forward for a seat on the Legislative Council.
Marie Birtles has been nominated by Douglas North MHK David Ashford and seconded by Rushen member Dr Michelle Haywood.
Ms Birtles's career history includes social services business management, financial experience, health care and most recently social housing policy at the Island's city council.
The nomination has received support from MHKs Rob Callister and Ann Corlett.
LegCo nominations are set to close on 24 February.
